How the OSSC CPGLRE 2025 Selection Has Moved So Far
A lot of candidates ask whether another written test or an interview is left. Going by the stages reported so far, the road runs from the preliminary exam, to the main exam, to certificate verification. The Main Exam result you are reading about now is the last written stage.
| Stage | Date |
|---|---|
| Advertisement No. 5915/OSSC published | 30 December 2025 |
| Preliminary examination | 10 May 2026 |
| Preliminary shortlist for Main Exam | 12 June 2026 |
| Main Written Examination (CBRE) | 10 and 11 August 2026 |
| Result: shortlist for certificate verification | 1 October 2026 |
| Certificate verification | Not announced yet |
The dates for the preliminary exam and its shortlist come from exam update portals that cite the OSSC notices. The 1 October result is confirmed on the OSSC homepage itself.
What Is Actually Out: A Shortlist, Not a Merit List
This is where many people get confused, so it is worth a short pause. The notice is a provisional shortlist for certificate verification. It is not a rank wise merit list and it is not a final selection list.
The roll numbers are listed in ascending order inside each post and category. A lower roll number does not mean a better score. The PDF does not print marks either, so the cut off tables below are the way to see where the line was drawn.
Two conditions are attached to the list, according to the notice as reported by every portal we checked:
- Being on the list gives no right to selection. Final selection depends on certificate verification and the other formalities.
- The shortlist is subject to the final outcome of WP(C) No. 2405 of 2026, a court case. If you are shortlisted or just missed out, it is sensible to watch the OSSC website for any order linked to this case.
Post Wise Number of Shortlisted Candidates
Art Education Instructor has the biggest shortlist at 54, followed by Physical Education Instructor at 40 and Teacher Educator in Foundation Course at 33. Geography is the smallest with just 2 candidates.
| Sl. No. | Post | Shortlisted |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Teacher Educator in Foundation Course | 33 |
| 2 | Teacher Educator in Science | 14 |
| 3 | Teacher Educator in History | 4 |
| 4 | Teacher Educator in Geography | 2 |
| 5 | Teacher Educator in Economics | 4 |
| 6 | Teacher Educator in Political Science | 4 |
| 7 | Teacher Educator in Mathematics | 14 |
| 8 | Teacher Educator in Odia | 8 |
| 9 | Teacher Educator in English | 16 |
| 10 | Physical Education Instructor | 40 |
| 11 | Art Education Instructor | 54 |
| Total | 193 |
Shortlist versus vacancies: The advertisement carried 102 vacancies, as reported on exam portals. With 193 candidates called for verification, that works out to roughly two candidates for every vacancy. So the shortlist is a real step forward, but it is not the finish line. Anyone with a document problem at verification can lose the place.
OSSC CPGLRE Cut Off 2026: Last Selection Marks by Post and Category
The cut off here is the last selection mark: the score of the last candidate shortlisted in that category for that post. All marks are out of 200. A category appears only where at least one candidate was shortlisted, so a missing column does not mean a mistake.
A quick key for the abbreviations: UR is Unreserved, (W) marks the women’s list, SEBC is Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, SC and ST are Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, and PwD Cat-I is the persons with disability category.

Highest and Lowest Cut Off for Each Post
This table is a quick way to compare how tough each post was. It is calculated from the tables above.
| Post | Highest cut off | Lowest cut off |
|---|---|---|
| Teacher Educator in Foundation Course | 173 (UR) | 125.25 (PwD Cat-I) |
| Teacher Educator in Science | 184 (UR) | 148.75 (ST) |
| Teacher Educator in History | 177.75 (UR) | 176.5 (SEBC) |
| Teacher Educator in Geography | 103.5 (ST) | 103.5 (ST) |
| Teacher Educator in Economics | 167 (UR) | 139.5 (ST) |
| Teacher Educator in Political Science | 145 (SC) | 126.5 (ST) |
| Teacher Educator in Mathematics | 179 (UR) | 117.25 (ST) |
| Teacher Educator in Odia | 145.25 (UR) | 97 (ST) |
| Teacher Educator in English | 169.5 (UR(W)) | 132.25 (ST) |
| Physical Education Instructor | 150.5 (UR) | 80 (ST) |
| Art Education Instructor | 131 (UR) | 32 (ST(W)) |
What stands out:
- Science, History and Mathematics were the toughest, with UR cut offs of 184, 177.75 and 179 out of 200.
- Art Education Instructor had the lowest bar overall, from 131 for UR down to 32 for ST(W).
- In English, the UR(W) cut off (169.5) is higher than the UR cut off (168.75). Each category list is filled on its own, so a women’s list can close above the general one. It does not mean anything went wrong.
How to Check the OSSC CPGLRE Result PDF
The result is a PDF of about 6 pages on the OSSC website. You do not need a login to see it.
- Open ossc.gov.in.
- Scroll to the What’s New section on the homepage and look for the entry dated 01 Oct 2026. It reads: list of candidates (193 nos) provisionally shortlisted for the Certificate Verification for different Teacher Educators and Instructor posts under CPGLRE-2025.
- Tap View Pdf next to it.
- Go to your post’s section and press Ctrl+F (or use Find in Page on mobile) to search your roll number.
- Note the category printed against your number, then compare with the cut off tables on this page.
- Save the PDF on your phone and keep a printed copy for later.
If the entry has slipped off the homepage: Newer notices push older ones down quickly. In that case, open the Results link under Candidate’s Corner on the same website. It keeps older result notices in one place.
Can’t find your roll number? Check three things before worrying: that you searched the right post, that you typed the roll number exactly as on your admit card, and that you scrolled through every page of the PDF. A roll number that truly is absent means your score fell below the cut off for your post and category.
What Happens Next: Certificate Verification
At verification, OSSC checks your original documents against what you claimed in your application. The category printed against your roll number matters here, because the check is done against that claim.
The date has not been announced. As on 15 October 2026, the OSSC homepage lists no certificate verification notice for CPGLRE, even though the Commission has been issuing verification notices for another recruitment (CGLRE-2025) this month. That tells us the Commission is working through its verification calendar, but it does not give any date for this one. The notice will appear on ossc.gov.in, so check the site every day or two.
Documents to keep ready
The official notice will list exactly what to carry, and that list always wins over any article. Until it comes out, it makes sense to arrange the documents that are generally asked at verification for post graduate level posts:
- Admit card and the shortlist page showing your roll number
- Date of birth proof (usually the matriculation certificate)
- Graduation and post graduation certificates and marksheets
- B.Ed or M.Ed documents, where the post requires them
- Category certificate in the prescribed format (SC, ST, SEBC) or PwD certificate if you claimed a category
- Proof of Odia language qualification, since the advertisement asks for Odia proficiency
- Valid photo ID and recent passport size photographs
OSSC also keeps an Attestation and Bio Data Form under Candidate’s Corner. Open the official OSSC website, check whether your verification notice asks for it, and fill it in carefully if it does. One thing to avoid: a certificate that does not match what you declared in the application can cost you the seat even after you cleared the cut off.
If Your Name Is Not in the Shortlist
It is disappointing, and the margin on some posts was tiny. Still, a few practical points:
- Log in to your OSSC candidate account and see whether score details are visible. If they are not, wait for any separate notice from the Commission.
- The result is tied to a pending court case, so keep an eye on the OSSC website for orders that could change the position.
- Use the time to look at other openings that suit a post graduate profile. For example, the 815 principal and teacher posts at Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan opened for online applications from 12 October 2026, and the research posts at Utkal University close on 23 October 2026.
- Graduates can look at the 435 laboratory assistant posts in Odisha government colleges, where applications began on 12 October.
More notices are collected in the recruitment updates section of this website.
Salary of Teacher Educator and Instructor Posts
The advertisement places these posts in the Level-9 pay matrix under the Odisha Revised Scales of Pay (ORSP), as reported by exam portals. The exact starting pay, allowances and service conditions are set by the Government of Odisha and the advertisement, so read the pay section of Advertisement No. 5915/OSSC before planning around any figure. You can find it in the Advertisements section of the OSSC website.
