OSSSC Radiographer Recruitment 2026: 240 Posts, Apply Online — Last Date Extended to 11 October

Two things to keep straight: registration and application are separate steps on the OSSSC portal. You must complete registration (or re-registration, if you already hold an OSSSC user ID) before you can fill the application form.
Vacancy Details
A total of 240 Radiographer posts are on offer. This is a district cadre post, which means after selection you will be posted within one district, and transfers stay inside that district. You have to indicate your district preference in the application form.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification
- Pass in +2 Science from CHSE Odisha or an equivalent board.
- Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) or Bachelor in Medical Radiation Technology (BMRT) from a Government Medical College/Hospital of the state, or a private institution recognised by the Government of Odisha or AICTE.
- Valid registration (or renewal) with the Radiographers Council of Odisha — this must hold good on the date you submit the form.
- Working knowledge of Odia, in one of the forms prescribed in the notification.
Age limit (as on 28 August 2026)
- Minimum 21 years, maximum 42 years.
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC and Women candidates; 10 years for PwD; ex-servicemen as per rules.
Application Fee
- UR / SEBC: Rs. 500 (payable online)
- SC / ST / PwD: exempted, no fee
- The fee is refundable to candidates who actually appear in the written examination.
Selection Process
Selection happens in two stages:
- Written test — 100 marks, MCQ based, conducted in OMR or computer-based (CBRE) mode. Duration is 2 hours, with 0.25 negative marking for every wrong answer.
- Document verification — candidates are shortlisted for verification at roughly 1.25 times the number of vacancies, in order of merit.
You need minimum qualifying marks to be considered: 30% for SC, ST, PwD and ex-servicemen; 35% for everyone else.

Salary
Selected candidates get Pay Scale Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100 (Pay Matrix Level-7, Cell-01) under the ORSP Rules, 2017, plus allowances as admissible to Odisha government employees.
